In 2014, PRVO joined Community Action Agencies across the state in celebrating 50 years of Community Action. The Promise of Community Action is “to change people’s lives, embody the spirit of hope, improve communities, and make America a better place to live”. During our ceremony, words of history, encouragement, and support were received from Ms. Tina Ruffin, Director of Community Services; Mayor of Columbia, Mr. Robert Bourne, and Dr. Marietta James, Superintendent of Columbia School District.
