Family & Community Engagement
We believe addressing the entire family and supporting them in taking an active role in every phase of their child’s development will better serve the child’s needs and the family as well. We offer parents opportunities and support for growth in order that they may identify their own strengths, needs, interests and become self sufficient and empowered to excel at all goals.
We provide the following to assist parents with their needs:
- Parent handbooks, Parent Resource Areas, Community Resource Booklets, Activity Calendars
- Individualized Partnership Agreements based on families readiness and Willingness
- Family Engagement Workers to work one on one with individual needs
- Linking families to community agencies to meet their needs
- Home visits to establish relationships with all families and to assess their
- needs and discuss child’s development and needs
- Opportunities to serve on various committees to include the Policy Council, and represent their Head Start/Early Head Start Center
- Seminars/Parent Activities based on the parents interests monthly
- Family literacy
- Male involvement
